When that last guy stated "he wasn't being paid enough for this" when the dude dipped around the shelf 😂 I FELT THAT 😭

Story 2 was pretty intense. Having to sneak through a supermarket when theres a man who is possibly there to kill you sounds like a recipe for a nightmare.

“I’m a mother of 3, so our grocery bills are quite high”

Sounds like a fucking nightmare already😭

As a woman who used to work in a couple of supermarkets, I can verify that they are scary to be in at night. Back in my early 20s I used to work in a deli and part of my job was cleaning the rotisserie and dumping the grease in a holding bin out back. I was just glad that my friend over in produce was always there to watch my back when I'd have to go outside.

The person in the last story is lucky to even be telling the story with so few brain cells. Things people with common sense don't do, 1. Prop the backdoor open at night while you are alone. 2. Follow the stranger and try communicating with them instead of calling the police.

Working at a supermarket is a true horror story itself.

If you even suspect that someone might be following you, don't go home or to a family member's home or to a friend's. Go to a police station or a firehouse. 😉

There actually was a shocking event that happened at the supermarket I worked at. Though I wasn’t on shift when it happened it also has a wholesome ending, but would give you shivers.

Basically one night an old guy was buying groceries when he tripped and fell into the dairy fridge and hit his head pretty badly on an metal edge. People quickly picked him up, but the blood was gushing out off his head rapidly and he could barely stand up. The employees carefully laid him in the floor and kept their hands on the wounds. The ambulance came quickly and they took him to hospital. Blood was left everywhere though and my co workers were quite shocked that something happened to an old man.

Luckily the story has a little wholesome ending, the man recovered in hospital and two days later the family actually came and gave us a large bouquet off flowers, and a box off chocolates. Along with that was also thank you card for taking care off him and that he was doing fine.

Still the scariest thing I've encountered with these stories is chillin at 1am watching one when all of a sudden a commercial plays like 2x louder than the video

Mr. Nightmare should make these stories into a live action Netflix series and he narrates each episode

This was a really interesting topic, and scarily familiar. If you're working in retail, please remember your safety comes first! It's better to be safe, even if it was just your nerves or anxiety.

Especially if you're a woman, when in a grocery store don't hesitate to ask a staff member to walk you out if there is a creeper. Not every super market has security but most are willing to walk you to your car.

The scariest thing to ever happen at a supermarket is where you cant find your mom as a kid

I think the scariest story I have from when I worked at Walmart was a few minutes after we closed, a man came in. My coworkers tried to tell him we were closed, but from afar, I saw him walking fast down the produce section, holding a hand of acknowledgement up. I then heard my manager say, "Just call the police- just call the police, " exasperated. I found out then that he wasn't just holding his hand up, but a machete. Unfortunately I don't know what happened then, but I did see one police car in the parking lot as I walked to my car.
There was also the time a homeless guy followed me halfway to my car before he was distracted by a male coworker. And the time a man eating apple slices and caramel kissed my hand, leaving spit and caramel on there. Yeah... good times.

First story was so scary!! Man, these are so much worse when you've experienced something similar. One of the greatest skills is learning when to NOT be polite. Red hoodie guy needed a good "feck off." I know it's also important to know when to deescalate or ask for help, but being impolite to creeps is also a self-defense option. Stay safe out there, everybody!

"I wasn't being paid enough for this" the most accurate statement ever 😂

Story 1: I thought the woman would drive somewhere different first, I know she thought she wasn't being followed anymore but that guy was still around. Always take a detour if you are trying to avoid someone or something. Better safe then sorry.
