DANG! THESE HEDGEHOG QUILLS HURT! OWIE!!

Owie! Getting poked by a hedghog's quills is like being poked by a needle. Seriously! They're that sharp!
Ever wonder what hedgehog quills look like close up. In this video, I'll zoom in on the sharp, needlelike quills of my baby hedgehog. I just got her a few days ago, but it still takes a little while for her to warm up to me. So this is what I'm seeing most of the time... those sharp, pointy, needlelike quills.

Hedgehogs are on one of the lowest levels of the animal food chain so don't be surprised if it takes a while for her to warm up to you. I've had a few hedgehogs, and here's what worked the best: If you wear or sleep with a t-shirt for a couple days then you can either lay the shirt on the cage or leave it inside. Your hedgie will start appreciating your smell with her cozy napping and eating spots. If you do it continually and make sure to spent time with her nightly, she will be closer to you in a month or two!

In the morning, take her out of cage, put her under the shirt on your belly. They like the warmth and get use to your scent, associating it with comfort and safety.
They usually spoot and sleep under that shirt. If shee poops - remove the poop and try again half of an hour later.

Give her dried mealworms as a treat only from your hand after she slept a little on your belly.

When I first got my pet hedgehog, it hurt to pick him up. The more you do it, the more your hedgehog will get use to you. Eventually, the quills will be less painful on you.

Giv3 her a lvly warm bath brush her quills with a toothbrush c if she is clean, then wrap her nice and warm get her supper ready and get cozy togther in front of fire watch a hedgehog movie together

Hedgehogs belong to the wild outdoors and NOT indoors. It needs to interact with other hedgehogs. How sick has this world become. 🤯
