I'm not impressed that Truss used this incredibly sad event to push some of her own gaslighting, such as claiming Britain was 'thriving' when facts prove this to be incorrect.
As for mentioning herself being made PM, I don't think this needed to be mentioned as the focus should've remained on the queen.
Trying to be fair, I'm guessing Truss would know that she'd be accused of being insincere delivering this sad event given her previous comments on the monarchy - that would make anyone woodier than Pinocchio!
