DANA storm causes damage to SEVERAL YACHTS in La Savina, Formentera

A large thunderstorm, known as a DANA, has caused damage to several yachts, including the 30.48-metre sailing yacht Wally Love at the port of La Savina in Formentera.
According to the State Meteorological Agency, the thunderstorm has seen strong gusts of wind exceeding 100-kilometres per hour. Videos and images posted by eyewitnesses online show several yachts adrift on the rocks, with the cruiser-racer yacht Wally Love listing in the water.
A DANA is a term used in Spain to describe a cold drop, such as a high impact rainfall in one area. Known as a DANA, Depresión Aislada en Niveles Altos; the temperatures in the area have significantly dropped with a yellow alert issued for heavy rain.
It has been reported by the Majorca Daily Bulletin that around a dozen sailing boats have run aground, with at least one yacht allegedly undergoing a rescue operation after colliding with the rocks.
