Okay but as a woman now I’m thinking like, intentionally using the term “mainsplain” incorrectly while talking to a man would legit be so diabolical, one of those perfect gotcha moments where the person can’t tell you you’re wrong 😅
But if you actually find yourself in that situation I would just go to another woman whose vocabulary you trust and if she agrees it was wrong just have her be the one to tell her so you can avoid that moment of awkwardness.
