Demonstrating the Panasonic image app on an Android device

Demonstrating the wi-fi connectivity of the FZ1000 (or any other wifi enabled Panasonic Lumix camera). All the individual steps for downloading, installing, setting up and using the Panasonic Image app (showing the stages most demos skip over!)

I was looking to buy a dedicated remote for my G9 to allow long exposures but Panasonic wanted £60!!!! for theirs and someone recommended this app. Thanks to this video I've learnt how easy it is to use and also take advantage of all the extra features. Another benefit is being able to view the shot on a larger screen. It's a really good app, thanks Graham for the run through.

great tutorial, thanks. i find with video either in 4k or 1080p as soon as you move or zoom anything the playback is jagged. after checking the actul video shot on the camera display, it shows this is a wifi lag, so the same kind of monitoring jaggedness you might get from a preview screen in an editing program. the video shot is smooth. the zoom sensitivity of the app is way better than the manual zoom button on the camera. so very useful.

I recieved my LX 100 ll at the first release in October. Love the camera and this app. Your video helped me out on a couple of areas I couldn't quite understand.
But would be nice to see my image on my smart phone or tablet as I take the picture in real time if its possible. Is it possible?

I have Panasonic HC-VXF990 and when I shot the video in 4K using Image App I've got so noisy picture on every android phone i've tried that can not see what is on the screen. I thought this is because of the screen resolution of the phones, but now I have the same problem with XPERIA XZ2 which has a 4K screen resolution. So may be somebody know how to solve my problem.

Very cool. I love these kind of apps. I use a point and shoot fugifilm xp80 waterproof when Im kayaking. Camera sits up on a pole and I just use my phone to take videos and pictures.

Does it only transfer pictures you're currently taking or can you transfer others that are on the camera already to your phone? Also does the app connect only via wifi or can it connect to the camera offline (without WiFi/hotspot) from the app after you pair them for the first time? Thanks in advance.

I have read that the "wifi connection" is generated by the camera itself, not needed for an actual wifi connection. I really am curious about if the camera photo gallery can be accessed & easily transferred so I don't need to use a PC

Dear Mr. Houghton, first thank you for this excelent (as all your tutorials) video! I'm sending a comment here because I have a modest request. Please try to request Panasonic for improve these app. If there is a man who can do it, then you. Please take a look to all the last comments in google play. Most of it with low stars because connection errors. But Panasonic don't improve the app. Also direct support requests don't help. No answer or meaningless answers.
