AQA GCSE PE: Muscles Of The Human Body | The Muscular System | Anatomy | AQA Paper 1

This video will detail each of the 13 muscles you are required to know by AQA, where in the body they are found and how they are spelt. As well as this, I have provided you with exercises and sporting scenarios where these muscles are utilised. It is in hope that this will help strengthen and consolidate your understanding of the muscles, which will prove pivotal not only for multiple choice questions, but movement analysis questions where detail and depth is required.

What you need to know in summary:

• the 13 muscles set out by AQA
• their location within the body
• how each of these words are spelt
• sporting scenarios where these muscles are utilised.

I have attached the AQA specification below where you can read about this.

Key terms: muscles of the body, contract, movement, bicep, tricep, pectoral, deltoid, rotator cuff, latissimus dorsi, abdominals, hip flexor, gluteals, quadricep, hamstring, tibialis anterior and gastrocnemius.

As ever, if you require any assistance please leave a comment in the section below.
