I always carry a key on me. Plus iv'e learned the special forces method for the bind n' break, and just plain picking them as you've shown. Also also, if you are getting arrested, swell your wrists up by pushing real hard like you are blowing up a balloon. This will send blood to your wrists, causing enough swelling that you can easily just slide your hands out. Most of the time anyway!
