I don't get why Oda is so strict about what type of "substance" can be a Logia fruit. You're telling me "wood" and "gas" are fine but "slime" and "poison" aren't?

Some people try to justify Trebol saying that he fit his whole body in the top part where Usopp sliced him off but it’s hard to imagine him fitting his whole body in that tiny space. The guy is over 11 feet tall.

It’s funny to imagine that even Oda forgot about the rule of Logias being elements that normally occur in nature and had to make a Special Paramecia class to fix that mistake. If you look at Katakuri’s earlier design, he was planned to have a Flour Logia as well. 😅 That’s why Katakuri’s still the Minister of Flour.

My personal headcannon is that mr 3 has logia powers but isnt capable of using them to their full extent. This is why Crocodile views him as so pathetic, he sees all the wasted potential. Made a logia his third highesr ranking officer only to discover that he is too stupid to figure out how the logia powers work exactly. Many devil fruit powers seem to be tied to the users imagination, like with the crazy things Doflamingo or Bonnie do. So maybe he is just not imaginative enough. You can see him kinda melting in impel down also.

With Katakuri being called Dogtooth, Vergo called Welgo, and Oars called Oz back then. Why is One Piece the series that can never get the characters names right the first time when they get translated?

I just wish for Katakuri they'd had his Logia type abilities be part of his awakening, maybe a super advanced form of him mastering his awakening to the point he's not just capable of turning the surroundings to mochi but even himself, it just fits so well since they made a point of constantly pointing out that Katakuri has pushed his abilities to the utmost, so the base Mochi fruit just allows him to produce and control mochi, awakened it and can now turn the surrounding into mochi and then mastered that and can now turn himself into mochi.

it's easier to just remember the 3 classifications are just how they are grouped by observers and not some hard and fast rule about how the fruits have to function.
