There is one more benefit of Waze apart from the one' you told, its navigation is better.
You must have noticed this on Google maps, it would keep on saying you have to Go Right in 10 kms lets say, and just as you reach that slight right it would immediately say Go Left in 200 m, on a highway it becomes very dangerous with such directions,

Waze would all along say you have to take left in 10.2 Kms. so Navigation bhi better hai.
