Her emphasizing "supposedly Azerbaijani territory" is not appropriate at all. It is, as Michael Clarke said, legally part of their country.

If Russia cannot take Crimea and Donbas from its internationally recognized owner Ukraine just because Russians live there, Armenia cannot have Karabakh, which is internationally recognized to be part or Azerbaijan, just because Armenians live there either.

They forgot to mention that 30 years ago, Armenia forced its entire Azerbaijani population out of the country, plus out of Karabag and its surrounding regions (the latter didnt even have an Armenian majority, but it was still illegally occupied until last year.) More than 724.000 people had to march in the cold without any food or other supplies until they arrived behind front lines (IF they survived the massacres, hunger, thirst and harsh Caucasian winter.) Azerbaijan is wealthier NOW but back then, Armenia had its upper hand thanks to money from abroad. Believe it or not, I feel sorry for the ppl who choose to leave their homes now and had to endure the months of siege and blockades but the western media seem to forget or ignore that when the situation was the other way around, they brutally abused that advantage.

All true, but, no one mentions the 600K plus Azeri refugees created by Armenia in the 90s and its brutal occupation of NOT JUST Karabakh but also surrounding areas. And, the ethnic cleansing by the Armenians in the 90s. I wish both peoples love and peace but 1-sided reporting just sucks. Please tell the whole story.

"Supposedly" (!?) Azerbaijani territory... And Wales is supposedly British territory, right. Coo-coo!

There are 4 resolutions of UN to free azerbaijani's lands, so 30 years Azerbaijan try to solve the issue by diplomatic way, but armenian diplomats supported by France, USA and others ignore UN resolutions.

Already officially known and accepted by UN as Azerbaijan's part Karabakh is now in peace and comfort.

The same way that Russia is not allowed to have an enclave in Ukraine, the Amenians should not be allowed to have en enclave in Azerbaijan. No double standards allowed!!!!

When will Azerbaijan call out Turkey for the illegal occupation of Northern Cyprus?

The last time when a genocide took place in that region was in the first Karabakh War, in which over 700, 000 Azeris were ethnically clense of that region.

Lot’s of cherry pickings here…

No mention of ethnic cleansing of Azeris in 1990s. No mention of completely destroying 7 cities up to 800 villages. No mention of UN resolutions. No mention of massacres especially Khojaly.

Professor Clarke is a great analyst that synthesizes warfare in that area into understandable terms.

Can someone explain please what does exactly "supposedly" part of Azerbaijan under the international law mean?

Very accurate analysis. Great Sakharov once said: “For Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh is a matter of ambitions, for Armenians of Karabakh is a matter of life or death”

Armenia picked the wrong ally in Russia. It doesn’t matter if the territory is “ethnic Armenians”, that kind of thinking is the same blueprint that Russia uses. “Ethnic Russians” is the main reason Russia has used to invade and take land from Georgia and Russia. So, anyone who says Armenia has the right to defend ethnic Armenians within a neighboring country’s territorial sovereignty is approving the acts of Russia in Georgia and Ukraine.

I don't understand why the British media and others keep repeating that "Nagorno Karabakh is internationally recognised as part of Azerbaijan." This is patently untrue. It's a politically motivated description only. In fact Nagorno Karabakh, Nakhijevan, Kars Ardahan and more, are de jure inseparable parts of 🇦🇲 Armenia. See the decision of the League of Nations and the Arbitral Award of the President of the United States of America Woodrow Wilson, Washington, November 22nd 1920, as well as the Treaty of Sevres, 20th August, 1920. The administrative borders imposed on Armenia 🇦🇲 by Stalin and the Bolsheviks during the Communist era are illegal in International Law. That is why the Turkish and Azeri governments are using aggression and ethnic cleansing and genocide in Nagorno-Karabakh in order to force the Armenian government to sign a so called "peace treaty" in order to legitimise in International Law, the theft of Armenian lands over the past hundred years. The Karabakh Armenians are indigenous to the region and the Azeris are the invaders.

This is business with Turkey, Azerbaijan and Russia, they want to share Armenia between them. This is a second GENOCIDE of Armenians so far. I Pray for Armenians 🙏🙏🇦🇲
