Ce film est tellement révolutionnaire, qu'il a réussi à changer ma manière d'analyser les films pour prendre en compte de nouvelles choses :
- L'utilisation du son (dans Pacifiction c'est magistral, y a des bruitages sinistres extradiégétiques et une musique subtil placés au bons moments)
- Le hors champ qui en dit parfois plus que ce qui est montré (dans Pacifiction, le hors champ nous rend parano en nous faisant imaginer qu'il se passe tout alors qu'en soit il en se passe rien, à part des dialogues inquiétants)
- Le registre qui peut changer en cours de route (d'abord Hyperréaliste, les 20 dernières minutes du film sont psychédélisme et folie, ce qui donne un côté fantastique dans le sens littéraire du terme : hésitation entre le réel et l'irréel qui fait angoisser et perdre l'équilibre, le film devient fou et nous aussi ; et c'est sans parler de la scène vers 1h avec l'hallucination du sous-marin).
- La figure des personnage (Dans Pacifiction, le portugais, l'américain et l'amiral sont plus des figures effrayantes (grâce aux bruitages et hors champ) que de véritable (vrai) politiciens réels)

Vraiment je crois qu'on a jamais vu un truc pareil.

It's such a shame how this movie bombed at the box office. This is some of the most vibrant and colorful cinematography for 2022, with such a truthful narrative about the effects of colonialism that slowly pulls you in with its radiance.

Hope there will be a blu-ray with ENglish subtutles for this masterpiece one day. Truly the best film of 2022, nothing came close.
