I can not describe my love for this movie with words. After watching this movie, I went on a trip to Mount Dolomite to look for Grana, I found Grana by accident and I saw the little hut from far away. I started learning Italian back from the trip. I am going back there one day.

Watched this film at a film festival, read the original novel, then watched it again when it was released in theaters. Easily one of my favorite movies of all time.
Now seeing it on a small computer screen, I notice how the 4:3 ratio made this film so nostalgic and intimate, as if it was a friend recording the whole thing on a camera.
Highly recommend the novel!!! It depicts the relationship between Pietro and his father further more. And I had to deliberately slowed down the reading process because I truly didn't want it to end🥺

I've seen the movie on Netflix and I was so impressed that I've bought the blu ray immediately. Everything fits with this movie. The story is good, the actors give great performances, and the music together with the increadible beauty of the Val d'Aosta makes this film an absolute juwel.
