I love that you mentioned the water needs of a tree in discussing the ground cover. I have a stunning Birch in area code 93446 and would love a ground cover that does not attract bees as clover does. The water needs have to be the same. Thank you for any suggestion. Best wishes

Do any of these die off and need to be replanted seasonally ?
Does it grow well with a lawn of thyme ? Is a lawn of thyme possible in California ?
