Dozens of World War II veterans from the United States, United Kingdom and Canada are in Normandy this week to mark 80 years since D-Day. The invasion in Nazi-occupied France helped end the war and liberate western Europe from Hitler's control. The fight came at a heavy cost, which veterans still honor and remember today.

These are Real Americans, brave Fighters for Democracy, Truth, Character and Real Values- Fighters for Friends and Alliances; Not bone spur excuses of rich men entitlement, afraid of danger, afraid
of fighting for freedom. These Fighters for Freedom, alive, injured or deceased are not “suckers and
loosers” as the “bone spur excuses” have said. These soldiers represent that Democracy is worth fighting for, necessary to defend and protect, never giving into isolation and authoritarianism.

My family still has the draft letter with three columns of names with my in grandmother's three brothers names on it. They were all at D Day. They all survived the war but were all shot. Rest in peace Cecil, Paul, and Louis. 🇺🇲

D-DAY ANNIVERSARY: POEM !!
D-Day raised the curtain on the conflict
That fore shadowed the end of Hitler's dream.
The largest joint combat landing ever
Though the blood from both sides flowed like a stream.

When their boats hit the sand, their ramps went down
And all within paid a visit to hell.
They jumped out to do good for their country
And to kill the enemy without fail.

They fought the Germans, tides, winds and the waves
In conditions not easily foreseen.
By night the battle was in our favor
With bravery, valor, death, and men who scream.

The corpses littered the beach for five miles
Though heroism had carried the day.
With literally thousands dead or wounded
Those who were left were determined to stay.

They faced great odds and chose not to protest
And won the war that put evil to shame.
Most came home, married and raised their babies
But those who could not we recall with pain.

Choking back tears is a sign of a real honorable dedicated compassionate leader in President Biden. Proud to be an American of the Free world. We should honor & remember history not remove it or forget it.

Honoring the troops who stormed Normandy beach and lost their lives.

It was the return for the brits and free french who were chased out in 1940
The americans carried the main assault with the russians
On the eastern front tying down numerous german
Divisions!
Not forgetting the canadians!

Amazing how the US has such a short term memory when you forget to mention that between 21 and 26 Million Russians died fighting the Nazis during this war.
