FG085 Casing and Power Supply Build Pt2

After building an FG085 Function Generator I decided o put it in an enclosure. I have a 240 volt to 12 volt 20VA (1.6 Amp) transformer. I need 15 volts from it and a 120 milli amps. My first perf board build so I have my fingers crossed. Because I need 15 volts I have ended up building a voltage multiplier and then used a 12 volt regulator with resistors on the common of the regulator to get around 16 volts. All good fun..
Maybe I should use transformer and regulator for 13 volts and step up to 15 using a buck converter?

Hi I have been watching your FG085 build. I don't understand why your not getting a square wave with anything less than 15 volts source? I built one of these last year and put it into a case. I am using one of those 12 volt power supply, wall warts :-) and I'm not having any problem generating square waves from the unit what so ever. In fact I believe the power supply even though rated 12 volts is not quite 12 volts. but yet still get square waves with no problems. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the firmware?

You don't use a buck converter to step up, you use a boost converter for that!
