Controlling Video With Audio – TouchDesigner Tutorial 14 (see description)

In this TouchDesigner tutorial, we're using the cue parameter of the Movie File In TOP to control the video playback with any audio file. We use the snare detection that we built in this video:

Notes:
1) I said "any kind of video input" but it needs to be a file, no live input.
2) I noticed the speed doesn't actually add the value of itself (in this case 1 and then 10), but a fraction of that. Still have to figure out why.

Thanks for yet another super great tutorial! I got it all set up and working, but on some movie files i seem to be getting a lot of lag. Might this just be my system? (I'll be looking into Touch Designers system requirements) or is this sort of effect more demanding than others? Any good tips are welcome. (I'm running the non-commercial version etc.)

Hi. I am trying to record live audio through a mic. I can get get the mic working, but can't work out how to record it. I also have an image with audio reaction. I can make a recorded audio file work, but can't work out how to record live audio. Do you have a video with that info already in it? Thank you so much for all of your tutorials. Hey. Loving the tutorials! Just a bit confused about the order of the audio visual playlist. The tutorial numbers dont really match up so a bit confused about where to start.
