Even Taiwan's own constitution defines Taiwan is a part of Republic of China instead of a separate country, and the mainland is also a part of it. Hence, saying Taiwan is a country againsts their own law.

Taiwan is the only so called "country" in the world that the constitution of the party in power is actually violating the constituion of the "country" itself. Constitution of Democratic Progressive Party (party in power) states that the party is pushing Taiwan Independence, while the constituion of the "country" itself states Taiwan is a part of (Republic of) China. An absolutely illegal political organisation, both technically and practically, is in the power my friends. It's actually hilarious.
