This one scene cemented David Tenant as The Doctor in my book, forever more, up until this point Eccleston was still my favorite. I am just sad that it was close to the end of his run as the Doctor... well until he came back, officially hogging more regenerations than any other Doctor.

I never got the chance to watch Doctor Who but I really like hearing about the Vashta Nurada. They seem like such a neat species and incredibly terrifying nonetheless. A truly scary villain.

"Silence in the Library" and "The Forest of the Dead" were the first episodes of Doctor Who I saw. I´m a fan of doctor who (especially Tennant as the doctor) since then. And the Vashta Nerada stil are the most freaking terrifing things for me in the doctor who univers follow by the midnight creature and the weeping angels. I remember looking from time to time at my shadow and freak out when the lights around me create a second shadow, cause as you know, Vashta Nerada aren´t in every shadow but can be in any shadow

Fun fact of whats actually going on.
River Song is NOT at the end of her life in this scene.
On the opposite.
Shes about to get saved TWICE times over.
Secondly the sonic save that saved a bit more then most realise.
Firstly River Songs mind is saved by THE crown of throns.
Yes THAT crown of thorns.
To become the pilot mind of a brand new timemachine (In lack of a proper inshow name;) "RIVERS" that have THE library inside it as THE library we know from the TARDIS type every TARDIS (timemachine) have.

There is alot more but RIVERS is both "Heaven and Hell where mankind are "stored" as a living soul in a continusly running "virtual world" (Example See Bells of St John for a similar "thing") where ppls "souls (and bodypatterns) are stored.

Now all we are missing are a mankind sized (in numbers) blank multiform basestations where the "saves" (in Heaven and Hell) can be used as incarnations.

Next I could go into how series 3 & 4 was set within the new (Doomsday/Big Bang created) WHoniverse but lets skip that for now...(ill happily point out how we know that if someonone wants)

ERGO in the new WHoniverse OUR mankind (from the classic whoniverse) are the rulers over time within the new WHoniverse with our (former) Doctor as our Caretaker/Curator/etc etc President....(just like Rassilon was for the mankind that became the Timelords in the classic whoniverse) (the Mondasian mankind that Rose and Jackie ended up with)

the two most famouse ones are Romanalunda.... (Classic WHoniverse) and Santa (new WHoniverse)

Now how did our Earth and mankind end up within the new WHoniverse?
