My ex husband felt safe. It was the wrong choice. I was infatuated by him but I didn’t love him for his person and he felt the same about me. That doesn’t play well in a relationship. The man I am with today, he doesn’t feel as safe but we both love each other for the people we are and not what we can use out of each other. If the leap into something serious takes time and thought but you both do… it is a choice out of loving the right person and not merely a quick kind choice because it felt « safe ».
