No I don't agree with your list!!! The Gold Coast is soooo much better that Sydney!! We have amazing beaches and not to mention the countless amount of surfing competitions on the Gold Coast!!!! Seriously do you damn research

No Portugal? Seriously... You put Spain in second, but you miss Algarve? It has at least 2 beaches in the top 20 of the world, it basically breaths beach and fish culture, it has great night clubs and casinos... Or even Lisbon. Voted the coolest capital in Europe in 2014, biggest wave surfed by McNamara, the hole coast line is beach.
I don't get it, not even an honorable mention.

The Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia was overlooked for this list which includes Surfers Paradise beach.  The Gold Coast has a tall skyline and is home to four major theme parks and has a whole host of other attractions.

It's not really a beach city, but I really wanted to see siesta key beach (the number one beach in florida) somewhere up there. The sand is just so amazing!

I grew up in Panama City Beach, Florida. We have very clean, beautiful, white-sand beaches. The waves are calm, so it isn't ideal for surfing. Relaxing, however, is very nice here. It's a top spot for spring break, and it is the home of the biggest nightclub in the country, Club Lavela.

San Diego is my hometown.
I would love to visit all of these someday, but none will make me nostalgia and feel at home like the beaches of San Diego.
