Born in 1955. My parents exposed us to the best music. My Uncle Gene and my father Thornton grew up with Roger Williams

My parents listened to Billie Vaughn. I still have the records. I loved “Sixteen Tons”, “Love Is A Many Splendored Thing”, and “Unchained Melody”. Beautiful music.

It was the country's age of innocence and manners. Hard to believe that some music without words could be popular. Now it's words without music with a level of vulgarity that would never have been tolerated!

I took it for granted - I thought music would always be that good - every one carefully crafted - every one a classic -

My dad was an avid organ player and It's a Sin to Tell a Lie was one of his favorite songs to play. I can still picture the sheet music that he would have open front of him while he was playing although I'm sure he had it memorized

First time I have ever heard the music that came out the year I was born. Now I can better understand where I got my life long desire for music from. Thank you so much.
