This was a new idea that we've all thought about. Thanks for the great presentation.

That ending was beautiful. Way to end it on a more positive note despite all the other horrors that might occur.

If the super continent never split,
It will be a very difficult environment to live in.

If supercontinents were created again in the future as Pangea in the past, everything would be connected or slammed together. The environments would undergo huge changes. I'm not sure people would survive by that standard, even if we hadn't left the planet by then.

Why every one of these scenarios end in disaster though?

The Pacific plate is a transform boundry along the West coast of the US, not a convergent. The Jaun de fuca plate is the only plate currently subducting .

look how far technology has gone in 100-200 years, even 1000 years from now we wouldn't recognize how low-tech we are now

I find it strange that this is the first I've EVER heard that a super continent caused the Permian extinction. I've never seen or heard any scientist make that statement or anything remotely close to it

There would be more than one Great Wall

So wait there was one giant land mass and the rest was water??? So in other words half the world was land and the other half was water?

There aren't 7 chunks of land mass. Europe and Asia are still just one landmass

Nah, there would be more wars. Over territory.

Why do you have so many bots commenting on your videos? You should ask for your money back.

Yes however unfortunately the human race will likely be long gone by the time the planet becomes a supercontinent again. That's taking into consideration that we never figured out how to travel the cosmos

Pangea could not have existed very long, centrifugal imbalance of the earths spin axis would have made sure of that. Tape 10 quarters together on a globe between 60 and -60 latitude and spin the globe at scale speed to earths spin and see what happens.
