What If Earth Was Half Land and Half Water?

Imagine Earth with an even 50/50 split between continents and oceans. Our planet covered half by land half by water. How would this change the planet as you know it? What new kinds of vacations could this make possible for you? And what does the color of your pee have to do with this?

Imagine how scary the water side would be

I was hoping they would mention something about the possibility of the Earth's rotational balance/wobble changing with solid land all on one side and fluids on the other side.

Most of the cities would be coastal or near rivers. The center of that one big continent would be a desert. I think the video is mixing that view of that half land, half water planet with what would happen if our planet would be 50% ocean covered instead of 76%.

I just like this guy’s enthusiasm. Especially the outro “well, that’s a story, for another, what if”

Just imagine how perfectly fine tuned everything from the exceedingly vast universe, to our own planet and even up to the smallest structure of the human eye only proves that there is an intelligent designer behind all of these.

What if all landmasses fused together into one long landmass that circles the Earth (like a ring of land)? What if the ring is on the Equator? or Perpendicular to the equator (like in the longitudes) or if it is diagonally oriented?

What if Earth had a retrograde orbit around the Sun? (Not rotating backwards, but orbiting the Sun in the backwards direction)

I think you should think of this scenario as if there're half land and half ocean in the first place, not becoming that scenario from current state.

I can imagine going much more than 1000 miles from each coast would be very harsh conditions not much living

It’s amazing, How each and every small feature of our planet plays a crucial role in existence of life on the earth. What are the odds of all these factors coexisting to create life?

I think this could be a good plot for a movie or TV show, where first off everything is normal but then all of a sudden the sea levels start to drop causing the world to be half land and half sea. It'd be very interesting to see how life adapts to this new environment
