Nice over view. and nice to see more folks looking into the Crown.
I'm thinking about getting one, mostly as an expensive tech-toy, as this field is advancing very fast, and most of these things will out-date themselves yearly or even monthly.
The Crown seems fairly well thought out, and I am hopeful more "apps" come into play as more folks experiment with it.

If you notice in the videos, most reviewers have very short hair, including the co-founder. One reason is that for best response from ANY brain scanner, your head should be shaved. Something most users won't do :) But it's something to keep in mind if you are looking into these things. The more hair you have, the worse the signal.

It would be interesting to use the Neurosity Crown to measure the brain state *AFTER* using another wearable device, the Neorhythm. Apparently, that device generates electromagnetic waves (40hz gamma or 1-4hz delta).. so I would think that if after 20 minutes of use it might be possible to switch gears and check the brain!

I guess you have heard of "binaural beats" and "white noise". There are certain communities who believe in their healing and meditational properties. But this tech is new. If they really can monitor brainwaves and can assist the flow, it is definitely something significant to be considered. But for a tech on experimental stage the price is quite high in Indian context.
