I just talked to a dealer today. The prices are $30, 000 to $50, 000 plus accessories. Out of hand!

I bought a 2004 Yamaha RHINO when they first came out in 2004. It was $9K. We live on 70 acres and it is an invaluable tool around the property for getting firewood, haling compost among other activities. It has a carburetor and a 4’ x 4’ bed that lifts hydraulically. I use it daily.

I want somebody to sit down and actually explain to me why they're so expensive. I want to get one because I have family that would really enjoy one. But there is just no way I'm paying $30, 000 for a side-by-side. For that price, the only way you can get me to pay that is if they are street legal. If you're going to charge me that much, I want to drive that thing on the road anytime of the year

this is why i own a 2011 rzr 800 with 2600 miles for 6k still gets me out on the trails like the new ones .No way i’m paying $20-$35k and financed it’s a friggin car payment .I see lots of people saying i could buy so and so vehicle for the cost of a new utv sure you can . in this hobby you need the tow vehicle first unless you have property to ride on . Now comparing a jeep that you can actually drive and then trail ride is more a apples to apples comparison in my opinion

Even atv prices are up my new 18 can am outlander 850xt was $13200 out the door now it’s $15k before tax

They have got to get the prices down on these things. There is absolutely no justification for some of these stickers, especially with how unreliable they are. I mean that first one was the same price as my 2018 4x4 Tacoma

For 30k i can buy a nice used pickup truck, ac, heater that will hold up much bettet, it just isnt allowed on atv trails. Keep in mind, the cost of those atv doesnt at the purchase, tires and maint and a trailer to haul it makes the fun way overpriced.

I had a Polaris rzr sxs. Came from an atv and now back to an atv. I like the “off the beaten path exploring” you can do with an atv. The sxs was boring. I’m an older guy. Still prefer my own bike. After the “novelty” of the powerful sxs wears off I was like “ mehhh…….”

I would much rather have multiple vehicle like jeep, truck and a couple cheap atvs then 1 40k side by side only. I would have a lot more fun and more options for fun.

Another thing to keep you from reaching a stable future when you’re older, because ofc you’ll need a fancy truck and trailer to haul it. Just go buy an old shit kicker off market place and have some versatility. You can literally buy a good used truck for these prices. These prices are absolutely insane.

We traded our '20 2-up Can-Am Outlander for a '23 Yamaha Wolverine x4 850 xr-t. Being old/seniors now it's easier to use with ability to bring some others with us.

I used to hate rzrs and sxs's for some reason. Price was one. I've off roaded trucks for years. Own a 1 ton swapped square body double lockers that will go anywhere. To me, after riding with a friend with a badass 900xp built up and geared. They go further than my beast, faster. Not to mention you can take gravel roads at 60 like a dirt track race car with the correct tuned suspension. Hard not to want one

The sport market has ruined the price of the work market.

I don’t care what it has on it or does. I can’t imagine any of these being worth much more than 15, 20 at most. Or any vehicle being worth much more than 35. Gave 46 for a 2019 Tundra. Amazing truck but not 46k amazing, nothing is worth a monthly bill like that. Never again lol

No vehicle compares to a performance based utv. RZR pro r, Maverick x3, etc. the utility utvs are another story. Older jeep, Toyota 4Runner, accomplish the Same thing as a ranger, defender, etc. nobody is buying a utv with 20k miles. That’s basically brand new for a vehicle.

SIDE BY SIDE prices are NUTZ! and The term payments are up to as much as a travel trailer. For a bunch of Plastic and Poor wear items these prices need to come down. They are in Automotive territory and lack the long term reliability factor is lacking.. A Used Jeep or ATV is a better option.
