Dusty Hill did the lead vocals on Tush. From Wikipedia….”As the closing song in their setlists for many tours "Tush" would be the last song Hill would sing. After the death of Hill in 2021, the band performed the song for the first time on July 30, 2021, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama with Gibbons placing Dusty's hat on his microphone then Gibbons taking lead vocals to the song. A few tour dates later on August 6, Gibbons told the crowd “We’re going to have Dusty singing through the magic of Memorex.” The band would now end their concerts by playing the song along to an audio vocal recording from Hill's last performance.”❤️

I’ve always defined ZZ Top’s sound as “Texas Soul” because that’s where you feel it. Down to your soul.

This is the late, great, Dusty Hill, on bass and on vocals. Here's a vote for "I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide..."

The nick name for them is "The Little Ol' Band from Texas"... You ought to try one of their old bluesy songs like the medley "Waitin' for the Bus/Jesus Just Left Chicago" or "Blue Jean Blues".

Billy Gibbons played a fictional version of himself in the TV show "Bones". He played the father of one of the characters (Angela). When one of the other characters was dating her he got him drunk and had a portrait of her tattooed on him.

For more Texas stuff, try "Tuff Enuff"by the Fabulous Thunderbirds with lead guitar by Jimmie Vaughn (Stevie Ray's older brother and guitar inspiration).

I'm gonna be in the minority here, but "Rough Boy" is my favorite of theirs. My favorite Billy Gibbons solo. Sounds like he channeled David Gilmour. Totally different sound.

Nothing better than Texas Blues Rock. ZZ Top, Stevie Ray Vaughan, etc....you can't go wrong

Jay and Amber, your next ZZ Top reaction should be “Beer Drinkers and Hellraisers!” Absolute power rocker!

Imagine, these guys played together as a group for 52 years before Dusty Hill passed away. Most marriages don't last that long, let alone bands. Incredible band, and incredible talent.

Frank Beard's "bearded" drum set is housed at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland; look it up! Next stop: "Jesus Just Left Chicago."

When Jimi Hendrix states that Billy Gibbons is the best guitarist ever you know the man is going to come up with some good riffs. Other ZZ Top Tracks. "Nasty Dogs and Funky Kings" Heard it on the X", "LaGrange". "Pearl Necklace", Party on the Patio ", "Mexican Blackbird" "Just Got Paid", "Blue Jean Blues", "Balinese, " "Arrested While Driving Blind" and many, many more.

Speaking of ZZTop, members voiced as themselves in animated sitcom, King of the Hill. Reason for ZZTop being on this show is that Dusty Hill plays Hank Hill's cousin. They always pranking Hank.

Weird but true:
ZZ Top and Depeche Mode toured together in the 80s. Billy Gibbons taught Martin Gore some cool guitar stuff, and Martin Gore returned the favor by helping ZZ Top with their synth sounds. Both bands' sounds benefitted from the info exchange.

"We're just a little ol' blues band from Texas."
If you like innuendos, try "Tube Snake Boogie, " Pearl Necklace, " and "Got Me Under Pressure"
