Review of the AMIGA A500 mini computer. It comes w/ 25 fully licensed games, tons of options and the ability to side load your own Amiga games off a USB stick. But was it worth the wait and $140!?

At a convention recently, a YouTuber that I will not name charged me 50 bucks for roughly twenty seconds of his time, wouldn’t even talk to you without you swiping your card first. When I met Metal Jesus at a convention just a few months earlier, he took the time to talk to me and even took a picture with me. Never asked for a dime. He even held a Q&A and stopped after to talk and take pictures with any who asked.

I realize this is completely unrelated to this video, just wanted to say I appreciate this dude and he deserves no disrespect! He’s a real one that hasn’t lost touch with reality!

All hail the Metal Jesus!

My step-father had an amiga 500 when he met my mother. He’s super nostalgic for it! I’ve had 2 mini copies per-ordered (one for myself) via Amazon since it was announced. I’m excited to surprise my step-father with it

Had one in 1990, in the UK this was huge, we all had x-copy and a box full of blank floppy disk! Great video as always!

I was an Amiga kid, that computer shaped my life. I even learned how to do digital art on it via Deluxe Paint, and now I'm a graphic designer. This is a must buy for me, and glad to see it comes with Super Cars II, the greatest Amiga game ever imo.

I had an Amiga 500, bought in 1988. I had a friend who had one too so I have played a lot of Amiga games. I actually traded it in 1992 to my brother who used it to teach himself graphic design. He ended up working for Sierra in California outside of Fresno in the late 90s.

Hearing you play Chaos engine was so nostalgic, my dad is not well and I remember playing split screen with him on the Amiga 500. Superfrog with my mum. Don't you wish you could turn back time and re do your life sometimes.

Hey Metal Jesus. I'm from the UK and grew up with the Amiga. It's a great system and I'm happy to see new people being able to discover it thanks to the Amiga Mini. I've had mine on pre-order since it was announced, and I'm really looking forward to getting stuck in.

Wife preordered on Amazon as my b-day gift :) A500 was my first 16-bit computer. It was truly an amazing machine that allowed the Renaissance man in me build things with its music and graphic capabilities.

The Amiga 500 WAS my childhood, and probably my all time favourite computers/consoles. It was just amazing and, as you said, blew away the competition. I love it, it's fantastic, and I would spend forever on this if I could afford it. 😢

Awesome seeing that Eye of the Beholder II footage at 8:30! So few people know about that series, but it's definitely a great addition to any retro CRPG library.

I got an A500 back in 1989 - saved up for ages delivering newspapers. It was a big upgrade from my spectrum 48k!

The amiga 500 was my childhood gaming machine. I didn't have a Nintendo or Sega console until much later. I used the amiga 500 until I got a Windows 95 machine. This computer is hugely nostalgic to me. Most of these games still hold up today imo. This is the first time I will be buying a mini-console. Especially since side-loading games is a built in feature.

I wasn't able to have a computer growing up because we couldn't afford it in my house. Nowadays I have computers but they are used and old. I have never been into PC gaming even though I always admired the graphics and rpgs. Now I could afford a modern computer but I just don't care anymore. But it's cool that they keep making these mini consoles and PCs. Good review and cool video MJR!👍

When i was a kid everyday in the playground here in the uk, you'd see kids swapping stacks of amiga discs held together with elastic bands.

The Amiga is the most awesome machine I've ever owned. When my first A500 broke down, I bought another one. After a while I fell in love with the way smaller A600 and bought one of those as well. Good old early 90s 😎

Wow the Amiga was my all time favourite computer/console growing up. Some of the best games and soundtracks ever made. Turrican 2 was unbelievable

I ordered it. My neighbor had one, and I was so jealous because the graphics were so much better than anything else on the market. They did a fantastic job on my C64 Maxi, so I have no doubt this will be awesome too.

Amiga is seriously the most underrated console / gaming computer of all time. It's hard to overstate how ahead of its time it was

Wow this brings back memories, I started work full time aged 16 in 1988 and saved £100 each month for four months and went to the local computer centre and purchased my first Amiga 500 computer for £400, it was such a leap from the Amstrad CPC 464 that I had! I've just gone and pre ordered the Amiga mini from Amazon. Great video
