Returned my new SSL 2+ So I could get the Apollo Solo. Got the heritage bundle along with some holiday special plugins (free). The amount of plugins this thing came with is insane. The unison pre-amps are also awesome. If you're looking into this interface absolutely do not get the USB Version get the Thunderbolt version if you can. (USB Version needs power brick and can not re-route audio within the console which is big deal)

Motu Ultralite mk5 should definitely be on this list. Insane onboard I/O, powerful low distortion preamps, dsp processing, loopback, ESS Sabre DACs, and super low latency for both direct monitoring AND RTL!? It's crazy it didn't make the list. I freaking love this thing and I came from an Apollo Twin!

I would like to see a few DDCs. Like the USB, SPDIF to AES/EBY, HDMI to SPDIF, USB to I2S, etc. Something like Hosa ODL-312, GUSTARD U18 DDC USB Digital Interface Denafrips DDC, and such.

I like this channel — that said, I didn't care much for this video. "Best" implies that there was going to be some kind of critical judgment/relative ranking of the interfaces! Instead, this was merely a list, arranged by price rather than quality, with no commentary about how the units compare. I felt like the guy was just reading the sweetwater blurb for each product. Not helpful!
