Throughout history, humans have been captivated by the notion of soaring through the sky like birds. And in the early 1900s, that dream was finally realized. Visionary aviation pioneers such as the Wright Brothers, Santos-Dumont, and Louis Bleriot sparked a revolution that led to the incredible planes we see today.

From supersonic fighter jets equipped with cutting-edge radar and stealth technologies like the Eurofighter Typhoon, F-35 Lightning, and Sukhoi Su-57, to massive jumbo jets that can transport passengers from New York to London in just four hours, the likes of the Boeing 747, Airbus A380, Concorde, and more have pushed the limits of what was once thought possible.

But these mind-boggling flying machines didn't just appear out of thin air. In this video on the Evolution of the Airplane, we'll take you on a journey through time, exploring the incredible advancements that have brought us to where we are today.

And who knows what the future holds? With the rapid pace of technological advancement, it's anyone's guess what incredible flying machines we'll see in the years to come. So buckle up and join us on this thrilling ride through the history of flight! And don't forget to subscribe to our channel for even more exciting histories like this one.

If you could fly one plane which one would it be?

Magnify.

This is sick. It's wild to think we went from flying 50m in the 1800s to going to the moon half a century later.

In less than 100 years commercial flights became from the most dangerous to one of the safest means of transport

I didn't know what kind of list this was going to be, how thorough and I was really surprised to see the Rutan model. I've spent more than a few hours in cockpit of a Long-ez. The plans were purchased from Rutan then home built. Wonderful aircraft.

I am really awestruck by this video. A true masterpiece! No matter how extensive the list, there is always something that could be added. I would like to suggest that you add Glenn Curtiss. The Wright Brothers were so keen on patenting their Flyer and earning money out of their patent, that they stifled any pioneering initiative that did not come out of their hands. Alberto Santos Dumont kickstarted flight in Europe, independent of the Wright Brothers. Glenn Curtiss kickstarted flight in the USA, regardless of the roadblocks the Wright Brothers threw at him.

Damn this just shows how much ww2 and the Cold War really impacted the rate of development of new technology. Most of the planes in the 60s and 70s look like the ones we use today

If possible, make one of motorcycles, helicopters, drones, televisions, radios, cinema (in general if possible), radar, laser weapons, spaceships, telephones, the internet and virtual reality (and maybe more). It doesn't matter which you pick first. Your videos are too good and quite complete. You are not obligated but I would like to see what you can do. :)

The Demoiselle, by Santos Dumont, was the first plane to be manufactured in series, more than 20 thousand, because he donated the patent to humanity, in honor it was eternalized naming a crater on the moon 🌙

1:02 Thank you for placing Santos Dumont's 14-BIS. Few Americans do that!🇧🇷👍

the future of airplanes will be like star treks spaceships that warp drive in the next 50 or 100 years later

8:04 You forgot to add - the first aviation checklist! The 5-man crew got so wrapped up in piloting this giant on the very first demonstration flight that they forgot to unlock the elevator controls (which were locked on the ground to prevent flapping in the wind), stalled and crashed. The committee of test pilots summoned to remedy the situation decided to write down the most important and simple actions on a paper card. The positive effect was instant
15:15 And the Trident had the first autoland system
