Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says he is seeking forgiveness for failing to save six hostages whose bodies were recovered from a Gaza tunnel at the weekend. He said that Hamas militants "executed" the hostages, shooting them "in the back of the head".

He's got a cheek, asking for Israel's forgiveness over hostage deaths when he's just asked to have extra security bumped up for his own son over in the U.S. - and if the hostage families are taxpayers then part of that cost will be coming out of their pockets.
