NCAA Football 06 is, in my opinion, the greatest college football video game ever made. I think it’s even better than NCAA Football 14, which some would call overrated, although I still find NCAA Football 14 to be a great game as well.

A under rated touch I always liked about NCAA is games that weren't nationally televised had no commentary. Just the stadium play by play. Really gave you the in stadium feel.

Even the main menu was great with the "ESPN Classic" clips, watching Bo Jackson, Ricky Williams, and L.T. running over people while listening to "Train in Vain" was bliss.

This is the best football game ever made right up there with 2k5. I play them both regularly on PCSX2! Just finished winning the rose bowl with Wyoming a few months ago lol. Loved this game as a kid and still now!

I always thought it was dope and pretty realistic that in dynasty mode your players could get in trouble and you would have to suspend them for a couple of game during the season

I remember I had just got a summer job when this came out. I was in high school and saved up to buy this. Played it non stop all summer and well into the actual season. It was even more befitting seeing usc vs texas in the title game that year. Never even moved from the TV lol. Greatest championship game ever.

Texas with Young, USC with Bush/ Leinart, Michigan with Henne/ Hart, Notre Dame with Quinn/ Samardzija, uCLA with MoJo and Marcedes, Ohio with Ted Ginn/ Santonio/ Aj Hawk, OU with Peterson the iconic players were just unmatched. The crowd pump feature had so much pressure and the icon players had just the right amount of OP. For what it wanted to be it was perfect. I can almost smell the pot and dominos as we played the shit out of this in the dorms.

I just miss the crowd meter. I also miss finding my local D-1aa colleges in the game and not just finding FBS West on 2014 with just a snake 🐍 logo or whatever goofy reptile logo they can find.
