Today I lost my job. At first, it was a grieving process, and allowing myself to marinade on it and move on. A few hours later while washing the dishes, I was smiling like crazy I feel liberated and so many things comes into my head that I wanted to do! Things that I have put on hold for so many years! for me this about my health. my whole life i’ve lived with multiple chronic co-occurring conditions that cause symptoms that no dr has addressed let alone alleviated. i’ve waited on validation, on advice and on insurance coverage to come into fruition, but they haven’t. my quality of life could be better and i know that so i’m finally committing to finding something that works for me, even if it’s not traditional. i tried the typical route for dealing with this suffering and i found community. that community helped me realize some steps i need to take to be able to care for myself like no one else even while i depend on others for my livelihood.
