I love this scene of Hanukkah- The feast of dedication..They were all joyful, gifting each other, singing, playing the drama of Maccabean revolt...They were all so happy until the news of Lazarus came...I love this entire episode, in fact I love all scenes all episodes of The Chosen...periodddd...

You can really see the bond between them and the fact what would happen next is heartbreaking. Imagine you're with the Son of Man Himself, God in the flesh and not only that but He is also your bestfriend.

This show has helped me immensely. I am actually preparing to become a missionary, actively looking for the right mission trip, and it will be my first. The Chosen has inspired me and shown me what courage looks like, and I have learned so much about Jesus through the series. For all my brothers and sisters evangelizing: "For whoever would save his life loses it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it." Also know, The Chosen took Jesus down from the stained glass window and made Him my friend, and I am eternally grateful. Before The Chosen, I thought Jesus was an unapproachable high-and-mighty king. But that's not true. He's humble and lowly in heart, and He is our friend. All I can say is, I was one way, and now I am completely different, and the thing that happened in between was Him.
