Cat Doesn’t Recognize Owner Without Beard

I've always noticed how different my face looks when I shave off my beard for the first time in a while, but I didn't know how my Siamese cat Simon would react. Haha I guess cats will be cats ;)

My first dog had the same reaction when my dad shaved off his beard during an extremely hot summer many years ago. She was so freaked out by it that he immediately started growing it back, heat be damned!

its funny how animals hate it when things change in the exact opposite way humans do.

edit: I think people are getting confused on what I mean. If your friend had a beard but shaved it, you wouldn't snub them like a cat would. When we switched houses, we thought our dog would like it because of the bigger yard and more freedom, but instead she got anxiety and barely slept for two weeks (shes alright now).
