He said, "since the Nazis" every one of the tenants of his Columbia University Jewish liberalism has been adopted by conservatives. one of my favorite episodes yet, jon. really enjoy pete's show, and chuckled at your previous mention of him not being a christian because i wasn't under that same impression. in any case, i wasn't expecting to see him as a guest so soon after you mentioned him, but this was great.

Many libertarians subscribe to an Austrian School of economics which describes a moral market. The first time I ever heard an argument against central fractional reserve banking and usury was via Austrians like the Mises Institute. What is the alternative, it is what we have. Whether Conservative or Liberal, we are all Keynesians now. This is just one example that I could never be a conservative which in itself has become a nebulous label. Conservatism has only served to status quo the current thing in time. Liberalism pushes the new thing and conservatism normalizes it down the line. Theu are a symbiotic force.
