Biggs and Wedge being the same in both FF6 and Chrono Trigger is my favourite fact from this video.

Ah. Cyan's encounter with that "licentious howler" in Nikeah makes so much sense now!

I would like to see Cyan and Gau get a bit of surrogate father/son bonding time in an FF6 remake. In fact, now that I think about it, it makes more sense for Cyan to have been the one to introduce Gau to his father. He can spend time throughout the story teaching Gau manners and turning him into an upright young citizen with a sense of honor and duty (thus giving him a believable motivation to fight the Empire and Kefka that he lacks in the original story). Cyan then returns him to his true father with pride in his heart -- then gets violently offended when the father rejects him, having insanely thrown away the son that Cyan had lost. Gau talks him down from the verge of murder, just like the original scene with Sabin. Not because Gau cares anything about the kooky old stranger, but because Cyan is all the father figure he wants or needs. His heart softened with gratitude, Cyan feels pity toward the old man and spares him his wrath, then leaves with Gau.

Then, because Cyan and Sabin also get their abilities enhanced by completing their story arcs, Gau gets a reward after his scene as well. He trains with Cyan to bring discipline and mastery to his Rage ability, which allows the player to select his moves at will from a menu of options instead of him acting randomly.

FFVI is the eldest child that never gets attention but is the most stable and has multiple sources of income. We need the remake.

Final fantasy 6 was one of the first rpgs I played and what got me into the rpg genre. What a game. Still one of the greatest games of the 16bit era

Beaten this game probably over 30 times. Easily my favorite game of all time. Started at 8 years old, and it’s been incredible ever since.

This was one of the greatest RPGs ever made. I'm sadden by the aspect of crunch then, but I cherish this series to this day.

I doubt any of the staff will read this; but, from the bottom a 40 year old's heart, thank you.

Also, the fact they tagged several staff with writing compelling stories for individual characters was genius; we also got some of the best character development and backgrounds in the entire series.

I have played this game for over 20 years. I absolutely love this game. I skipped many a school day to play this, and it's so close to my heart, still. I have a kid now, and can't play games like I used to, but I still day dream about those carefree days.

I'm going through FF6 on my Android, on my downtime. It's always been a favourite of mine, despite 7 being my first, back in the day. I always choose Locke as my main character. I can relate to losing love and feel like you've failed someone. Such an amazing story about hope and rebuilding yourself as a person. I was 6 when this game came out, they just don't make them like this anymore.

I'm gonna say Cyans removed love interest was my favorite fact. Also Cyan, Sabin and Gau becoming a family

I find it particularly sad that Angela had to go, poor Cyan would have had sweet moments.Paladin Shield made more enjoyable to unlock makes it even more fun to play with! But i have to say, writers coming up with their own characters sepparately sheds much light on their creations and feelings.

This game has the most beautiful story line in the franchise.

"Aren't you a little short for an imperial soldier?"

Harder to find Celes line based off Princess Lea if you rescue her from South Figaro with Locke still dressed in the outfit of an imperial soldier.

To this day, my favourite game in the series! It made such an impression on me when I first played it. It has a fantastic cast of memorable and endearing characters, a great story, amazing and iconic events, superb music, and a fun combat/progression system.

I dream of the day this game gets a well-deserved remake!!

Woah, FF6 and Chrono Trigger are linked? As I kid, I just thought it was an easter egg to give a nod to FF6. Very cool....

Seeing that breakdown of who handled each character, it's really little wonder that Terra and Celes usually get top billing with Sakaguchi and Kitase behind them, respectively. And then Locke, Sakaguchi's other guy, ends up coming in third, too.
