I don't mind the whole having one bonus acoustic song per album, but I do feel that as a fan, consumer, collector, that buying each album for each bonus song - especially - when its an acoustic version of a song thats already on the album, they shouldn't just copy/paste the song's fully mixed acapella from the original recording onto a new instrumental. While I do like this version, I wish she would've recorded *at least* a new lead vocal track. Same goes for all of the acoustic versions she's releasing from this album. Which I know how busy she is so I understand why she isn't.

So…this is a hard take…but I actually prefer these TTPD acoustic versions to the State of Grace one (which I still love!). I prefer having the song with a acoustic-ified production rather than “only” the guitar. Plus these versions leave more space to the backing vocals WHICH I ADORE. Overall are they cash grabs? Yes. Do I still love them? Of course I do

For some reason the production on the original song makes me cry. Her vocals are heartbreaking here, but they really harmonize beautifully with that pop instrumentation. The piano here is really sweet. This sounds a little messy otherwise, though? I feel like her voice shouldn't have so many effects applied to it in this version.

Am I the only one who actually doesn't mind the original vocals on this instrumental? Like maybe not vocoder but I like the pop vocals here and i can't explain to you why.

Normally, I would prefer it if she re-recorded the vocals but with this one and the Fortnight and Guilty As Sin acoustic versions, I actually like having the original vocals on new production. And I already loved the Down Bad production.

The fact that this is only released along with the entire album on a CD when she could just make an acoustic version of the album… it’s the same thing with TTPD “The Black Dog Version” or “The Bolter Version” like girl just release the four bonus tracks on one vinyl, or better yet, the whole anthology… I’m convinced that this was just a cash grab or a way to climb the charts but yeah. Still love her but her way of thinking sometimes baffles me.
