As far as I'm concerned, a world without J.R.R. Tolkien would be very grey. Discovering him when I was a boy filled me with absolute fascination and delight. In my episode of MasterClass's Talking Shop, I talk about what I learned from a lifetime of reading (and learning from) the words, the work, and the worlds created by Tolkien. You will learn about creative writing, facing the impossible and the magic of fantasy. @masterclass

This is not a Master Class
This is a ticket to heaven

As a Persian Tolkienist I can't be more jealous of those lucky people who actually get to enroll.

Well said Neil! May I recommend "Geat and Maethild" on the Northworthy Sagas and Stories channel here on YouTube. I hope you find it interesting!

Chivalry and shrivelled. Troll Bridge? Hello Neil Gaiman and Colleen Doran. Chivalry? J R R Tolkien. And other works edited and published by Christopher his son. RIP both.
Yes. I think I read everything up to a point and stopped - and still carry it with me today. 4 decades later. Kept green and growing from Ent wine. Not allegedly Greene and shrivelled from well Boeberty and Greene's philosophies.

Not Tolkien, but Michael Moorcock.
No one beats Elric of Melnibone or Corum Jaelen Irsei. Prince Gaynor is the best antagonist ever.
No Elves, Dwarfes and good Knights, but a ton of creatures Moorcock invented himself, that is Fantasy at it's best.
