It's not just studios at this point. Companies in every field of our society are struggling to properly train the new generation. The companies care too much about how much it costs to properly train new talent and integrate them properly.

One of my favourite books when I was a kid is How Things Work.

Same thing in the trades. You have too many fresh out of college engineers who are told to just sit at their desks and they have never held a tool or understand how to put together what they are drawing.

I completely support the writers! I’m concerned- the producers and streaming services are going to choose AI in the future….this can be added in the contract negotiations now, I only want human written art… although if uniquely written and expansive, AI too could have opportunities, but Not to take over a previous storyline written, nor to edit.

Writers need to be briefed by the director every day after they wrap for the day. A writer is a consultant to the director. Writers are needed, but also need to hand over their work to a director. Writer/Director is too big of a job for one person. Let the writers do what they do best. Pay the writers well, but also let the directors do what they do best.

I feel the same logic should apply to the executive producers and corporate leadership. If you make a decision that directly impacts the creation (especially if you wanna meddle) you have to actively visit and work the production. Lol
