1. Prague is even more beautiful than you imagined. Having not been destroyed during World War 2, Prague retains much gorgeous architecture around town. Also, there are a number of amazing sights and places throughout the city, St. Vitus Cathedral on Castle Hill, the statues and views from Charles Bridge and the amazing Old Town Square just to name a few.
2. Prices Vary Widely Throughout the city. So look around and you will surely find a great deal!
3. You will eat, drink and make merry very well in Prague.
4. Pay Attention: With all the tourists around Prague is known to have more than a few tourist scams and pickpockets around so make sure you do pay attention.
5. Use transport to get up to the top of Castle Hill and then walk down leisurely to enjoy the view and shops.

Prague and Genoa are the only really significant places I've been to outside the US and seeing this was so great, it brought me right back there. Such a gorgeous place, especially if you love the kind of dreery/overcast weather like I do. Pilsner is also a plus. Light or dark, doesn't matter they're fantastic!

I first saw pictures of Prague when I was a teenager and built it up in my mind for years. When I finally got to go last year, I was afraid it was going to be a case of "meeting your hero" where it wouldn't live up to my expectation. Prague more than exceeded my expectations. It is the most gorgeous city I've been to yet, very affordable to visit (I stay in hostels), very walkable, and did I mention how gorgeous it is? Also, don't forget to drink some absinthe at The Hemingway Bar ;).

I love Prague so much, I've been twice and I'd definitely go again. It's so easy to get to from the UK, only a 2-hour flight, and the prices are so cheap compared to London.

I agree that Prague is one of the top destinations now in Europe. I was there 2 years ago and found it to be a great city for a tourist. There is so much to see and do I barely scratched the surface. I plane to get back there hopefully soon. don't forget the Petrin tower which offers a great view of Prague.

Mark, you are so right. I don't know if I'll ever fall in love with a city more than I did with Paris, but Prague was an unexpected treasure. We were there around Christmas and every place we went was spectacular.

Love Prague! Been there once 8 years ago. Hope to go again as it was a short trip, but I had loads of fun there! Beautiful place!
