If you have a 115 or 140 Suzuki that is not pumping much water out of the tell tail and the little bit of water coming out is very hot then this is what you need to do! There is a water jacket cover on the front of the engine and the water comes from the bottom of this plate to the fuel cooler and then to the tell tail it gets block with sand like this one or if you have internal anodes that are in bad shape then pieces can get in there and block the little passage so you need to pull it and clean it!

My great uncle 87 and I have done the exact same thing. We are about to fire her up and see if this fixed it! A lot of material was found, gritting and calcified! I’ll be back to let you know if it was successful! Your video was extremely helpful!!!

I have that same motor, had an issues with overheat so I took the engine off hung it upside down by a hoist and used a bilge pump with the lower unit off too get the sand from out of the bottom of the #4 cylinder. I also took the thermostat out and left the housing off. So much crap came out of that thing b it she runs like a dream

Was it overheating at idle or not peeing? I have a 115 thats overheating at 4k rpm but pees fine with 0 psi water pressure. Did water pump, lower unit driveshaft seal etc. Stumped.
