I find it really fascinating the way the narrator does 'dan-tay' pronunciation in the French way, while speaking as Mercedes does 'dan-tez', in Spanish accent. It's cool to see the detail in the voicework; really great throughout.

Wow, David Clarke, if only all audiobooks were read with such care and precision, let alone the masterful use of accents. Bravo sir!

I have listened to David Clarkes reading of this story five or seven times. I have truly lost count. this is a book I have red more than dozen times. Every time I discover something I missed before. It is truly a great story read by a great story teller. Thank you for the many many hours of enjoyment.

To those concerned, this is the unabridged version. Also, the recording in part 2 was uploaded improperly. It starts on ch. 49 at the beginning. Chapter 34 - 48 starts at around 8:20:00 in. Someone included timestamps in the comments so just refer to that.

The best and my favorite Pirate classic. An inspiration for life and kind of a Cinderella type tale, with the old Italian clergy man being the Fairygodmother. What a wonderful story teller this man is too♥️

This is an absolutely beautiful reading of one of my favorite books. The chapters being out of order is mildly annoying, so a huge thanks to the vigilance of several listeners, who posted chapter start times in the parts 2&3. Thank you, Mr. David Clarke, for making this difficult to follow text so accessible. Bravo, bravi, brava!

Wonderful switch of accents! Unlike this other audiobook I checked out, where his French accent sounded Italian. Good job, ser.
