Marvel Legends Top 10 X Men

Today we are taking a look at our top 10 X-Men figure from Hasbro Marvel Legends. We each chose 5 and made sure we didn't have any overlap. What 5 X-Men would you say are in your top spots?

You guys have such a good formula. “Just two dudes talking about toys” it’s a lot more interesting than just the normal formula. I know there’s a couple other channels that do this but they seem so scripted. You guys just seem so genuine. Just wanted to let you guys know, I really appreciate and enjoy your content.

4: Gambit (Apocalypse Wave but with the head sculpt from the 3pack)
3: Nightcrawler (exactly like you mentioned)

In no particular order, my top 5 X-Men would likely be:

1) Wolverine (Classic brown & orange costume)
2) Rogue (Black bodysuit with green accent pieces/Marc Silvestri Outback)
3) Psylocke (Jim Lee ninja version since we don't have Outback yet...)
4) (3-way tie)
5) Archangel

Could change tomorrow, but that's where I'm at today, lol 😅

Just for fun, I'll toss in a top 5 X-Men villains, again in no particular order...:

1) Juggernaut
2) Magneto
3) Goblin Queen/Dark Phoenix
4) Apocalypse
5) Marauders/Reavers

It's very hard for me to narrow down from so many characters to just 5 or even 10, because I keep thinking of another character that deserves to be on the list, but I feel like my listing would make for a pretty solid team at any given point during the time that I collected, and much better than so many of the lame@$$ woke team line-ups being jumbled together in the past several years... At a certain point, I just had to quit because the stories stopped being entertaining and fun to read, and just became increasingly tedious, boring, stupid, and generally difficult to get through an issue because of all that junk, plus the crazy @$$ glossy pages, where you have to constantly shift the book around in the light to enjoy the artwork because of the absurd glare on every page... On top of that, the prices have doubled and tripled from when I collected seriously and the quality has gone way down... X-Men comics used to be consistent quality, no matter which title you might choose, but then Marvel went Xcrazy, and tried to do too much with too little quality and in the process, pissed off their quality, longstanding writers, and artists and we started getting trash... some may disagree, and that's okay, but as a creator and artist myself, it was pretty clear when the nosedive occurred and I don't think ANY of the books ever fully recovered...

When I culled a significant portion of my collection, roughly 10 years ago or so, it was easy for me to pick that cut-off point where I just seriously stopped enjoying the books, and I unloaded everything from that point forward... I don't miss ANY of those books either. 😅😅😅 A big part of that reason is because there was so much really GOOD STUFF prior to the craptastic nonsense, I could spend years going back to re-read all of it.

Same thing with my Avengers and related titles, FF, Spider-Man, Midnight Sons/Marvel Knights (whatever you want to call them, lol)... I kept what I enjoyed and ditched EVERYTHING else, except for some general issues for artistic references of costumes for commission artwork...

Anyway, enjoyed the video, as usual... definitely a couple of lists that most wouldn't have, but always fun to see.

I agree with your paper cape argument. They’re so bad I love the retro white storm but the paper looks bent and ugly. Meanwhile I bought the two pack storm for only $25 and she was worth every penny and love how they did the cape and gave you a powered up angry option or the calm composed option for face and capes. super smart

You can absolutely put Spiral in your list. She permanently turned good after Mojo was defeated once. She loved Longshot and he was able to get through to her and get her to switch sides. So she started as a villain but redeemed herself and became good. Only thing that holds her back is her mind, as she's extremely mentally unstable from her powers and torture she went through which keeps her from being part of the X Men but she's been an ally for years

3: Toybiz nightcrawler for the articulations and articulated tail with the angry headsculpt and sword of the Hasbro one from apocalypse wave. 2 :Gambit from the apocalypse wave with the toybiz trenchcoat but with the head from the one Blue and yellow suit 3 pack and the cards Effects of the Marvel select.

Here is mine X-Rank (I only selected figures that I own)

- Nightcrawler (Caliban)
- Cyclops X-Factor (I don't have the classic blue and yellow Scott, this is my second fav outfit and I love the sculpt of the action head)
- Colossus Diamond Select. There's a lack of articulations, but I prefer that size for Rasputin. I prefer the DS Juggernaut as well for the same reasons.
- Storm 2 pack TB: Beautiful figure. Punk Storm is my fav itineration with her, but this shines like no other.
- Storm Punk (obvious reasons)

- Wolverine Apocalypse: big fan of the brown suit, I used him as the 80s version of Logan. I like very much that confident smile that they give to one of his heads.
- Angel DeLuxe
- Dazzler (arcade jacket) I prefer her 70s disco outfit, but it isn't available in my zone. Big fan of Alison, she must be in the rank.

I have to say i agree with the "Toy Biz Killer"🤣on many of his picks..i have 4 ou of 5 of his Top 5 in my collection.. including the kit bashed X Men 97 / Wendigo wave Nightcrawler..& btw there's ZERO problems with switching the heads..& far as Maverick is concerned..ive been planning on picking him up ever since the
Sabertooth Logan 2 Pack was released..& i still plan to..
Also i was able to pick up that Retro Storm Thunderbird 2 Pack last year BEFORE X Men 97 premiered.. for $20 on eBay.. but the price has gone up since then.

Retro Beast is among the best Marvel Legends ever, is my top Xmen Marvl Legends. The rest of my top 5 would be the new Cable, the 97 Cyclops, the 97 Wolverine, and the 97 Night Crawler

Isn’t that astonishing X-men colossus costume. I want them to do the x-factor team with OG 5 cast in first costumes and then second. Fully articulated and pinless. Also want to see the brood and brood queen. The Phalanx would be cool too. Dakota you have lost your mind that xmen 97 is the best wolverine ever. Good episode. Take care guys. Have a good weekend.
