ShartimusPrime Biography:

Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor for adult collectors, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

I hope you're feeling better, Shart. You know, I sold all my Marvel Legends. I didn't have a single one. Then you and Spencer made me miss them. I started a second collection.This December I got the Captain and Elvis MODOK, Mr. Fixit, Spider-Woman, and the High Evolutionary.

Nice top 10 and honorable mentions! I stopped collecting at the end of the toybiz days, but it’s nice seeing the latest releases even if they never hit the local toy shelves. I’m looking forward to seeing next year’s lists.

🎯As someone who is a comic book collector first, I got into Marvel Legends this year only after having couple. However, these action figures are amazing to new collectors or people who haven’t seriously bought action figures since they were kids. There’s really no bad figures they are all awesome, the face sculpts are amazing. And the most of these figures are on sale or heavily reduced.

My #1 Marvel Legends figure this year is definitely Astonishing Wolverine. Such an amazing and impressive figure. My runner up is Deadpool Legacy collection Colossus. I love that figure just ss much but his kinda terrible ab crunch and slight proportional issues in the chest knock him down ever so slightly. Phoenix is definitely on my list too but I'm not quite sure where for now. Overall a great year for Marvel Legends even if I didn't buy enough to even make a top 10 😅

I have this Zarda (Power Princess), and although I quite like her, I have some problems with her:

1) She is too tall
2) It is very unstable and falls easily (I her on the wall to really need to lean that she will stand)

3) Her weapons arenot that good (her shield broke)

Although I did succeed in taking a video with her, it was really difficult to do poses with the hands and feet

I too wish Sabretooth were a little taller. A little wider, also. I think the Marvel Select version has better proportions. I also would have liked an alternative head with a closed mouth. Still a cool figure anyway.

I love the Phoenix! My only issue with her is that her head sculpts are a little too small, but she's perfect with the Dark Phoenix head sculpt.

I absolutely agree about eh fun factor on Giant Man. He is the most fun large figure I own now. Even considering the 18” Spider-Man from Toybiz. That one would be more fun still tho if I wasn’t terrified of breaking it lol
