Order 7 of the Code of Civil Procedure – Plaint
Order 7 Rule 1 :- particulars to be contained in Plaint:-
How to Draft a Plaint (Order 7 Rule 1 C.P.C.)
1 Please mention the correct name and address of the court
 Civil Judge ( Junior Division)
 Civil Judge ( Senior Division)
 District Judge
2. Name, father's Name, Age , Caste and Address of the Plaintiff/Plaintiffs where there are More than one plaintiff
Versus
3. Name, father's Name age , caste and Address of the Defendants/Defendants where there are More than one Defendants
Heading Plaint under Order 7 Rule 1 of the Code of Civil Procedure
4 Type of Suit :-
 Suit For Recovery
 Suit for Injunction
 Suit for Partition
 Suit For Specific Performance of Contract
5. State the entire Facts of the disputes in chronological order
6. All Drafting should be in Para
7 Where there is amount Please mention it in figures as well as in words
8 Cause of Action:- After Completing the facts, please specifically mention that on which date , the cause of action for filing the suit has been arisen. It should be start from specific date and time and incident.
9. Limitation:- Mention that as per the Limitation Act, the Suit is within the period of limitation. If possible also mention the article/section of the Limitation act
10. Jurisdiction:- The present suit is within jurisdiction of this hon'ble Court,
A. It should cover territorial jurisdiction
B Pecuniary Jurisdiction
11. Suit Valuation & Court Fees:- Value of the subject matter should be assessed and the required court fees should be deposited along with plaint as per the state court fees and valuation act .
Order 7 rule 7 :- 12 Relief:- Relief to be specifically stated :- The Suit should be allowed in favour of the plaintiff and against the defendant and the following relief should be given.
Order 6 Rule 14 :-13 Verification The entire contents of the plaint must be verified by the plaintiff . It should be specified that what averments of the plaint is verified on his own knowledge and what averments is verified as per the legal advice received by him from his counsel.
14 Supported by an affidavit;- Every Plaint should be supported by an affidavit.
