Difference between 'incentivising and coercion' only dividing line that matters on vaccines

Sky News host Rowan Dean says he is "absolutely in favour" of any business seeking to incentivise Australians to be vaccinated, but "coercion is utterly unacceptable".

"I'm 100 per cent in favour of any businesses wanting to incentivise people; give them whatever, a trip to Hawaii, a lottery ticket, doesn't matter," he said.

"The reality is COVID and the vaccination are numbers games so if people want to incentivise individuals for whatever reason... by all means.

"But coercion is utterly unacceptable. That is the dividing line. That is the only dividing line that matters here."

Mr Dean said it was also unacceptable to allow vaccinated people to be free from restrictions while the unvaccinated are not because it "creates two classes of people" and contradicts the Geneva convention.

If your promoting an unlicensed experimental product, that can only be viewed as coercion

If the employer uses the “incentive” of keeping your job, how it it not coercion? These two words almost mean exactly the same thing.

Everybody needs to listen to our unfit, overweight prime minister, he knows how to keep us all healthy.

This is semantics. They amount to the same thing. Vaccination is voluntary and health records are private.

When incentives have to be introduced then it's a sales pitch, coercion is for those already suffering from Stockholm syndrome that que up to get man made chemicals forced in to them.

If incentives involve penalties towards those who don’t follow said “incentives” then it’s discrimination 🙄 whats so difficult to comprehend here?
Good grief its like talking to a brick wall

It's kind of like it's wrong to murder someone (coercion), but it's ok to encourage them to do it and tell them they will be better off (incentivise)

There is absolutely no incentive you can ever offer me to get me to be vaccinated.

Its coercion and discriminatory. You can fly if you get it, you cant fly if you dont, you can keep yr job if you do and lose yr job if u dont.
