Derek is a master slide player, but i love it when he plays straight guitar !

That double drumming bit is magic. Dead, ABB, TTB---two guys synching up, changing time signatures, passing leads & fills back & forth; building to quiet to building...& can't just stop.

I saw them last night at the Beacon. Every solo he plays is the best solo I've ever heard. His expressiveness, musicality, virtuosity... I think he's in a league of his own.

And of course having Susan up front more than doubles this band's greatness.

I also noticed, he seems genuinely blown away - in his low-key way, but it shows momentarily on his face - when the audience goes wild after a stellar solo by him or anyone else in the band.

I'll go so far as to predict - although it might be the afterglow speaking here - that ages from now this band will be a cultural touchstone from this era, in their artistic genre, the way Mozart, Shakespeare and Rembrandt now are in theirs.

TTB are the new torch bearers I have watched Derek over the years with other musicians he watches their hands . Or it seems so .When I go to concerts that's what I do. I have my few crazy moments but I watch the fingers on the guitars hoping to replicate. Derek us too fast for this ole lady and Susan you are my favorite female artist period . You have the most soulful voice and can play like all get out its amazing .

Was fortunate enough to be at this show. I’ve seen them many times but they were just so totally en fuego that night! 🔥 Everyone was completely in sync and the improvisation was absolutely incredible!

I love watching Derek play. I don't play guitar, but i can't figure out how he seems to play with all 10 fingers and all this unbelievable music happens. I don't think there's another guitarist who comes close to being as great as he is.

This is my favorite instrumental by The TTB Band . I’m surprised smoke doesn’t come out of each player’s instruments especially Derek’s Guitar 🎸

Saw Derek open ror Gregg at Electric Factory in Philly, Late 90s. Derek was maybe 18 prob 17 yrs old. Was so shy but his playing was prolific. Treasure that show. Was wild. He was a child. Also, Gregg's band was pretty much 38 Special. Got a 4 song 38 Special set. You know the girls went wild! Great show.

19:44 Derek turns to the drummers and does a fist pump with a big grin on his face. I can't recall him ever showing that kind of emotion on stage! Only with his back to the audience though. 😄 Such an awesome, yet humble talent. ✌️🇨🇦

This was such an Outstanding concert, I for sure thought it could not be outdone. It was by far the absolute, no doubt Best I had heard in my 58 years 👏👏👏👏👏👏

However at 59 I saw their Sep '23 show with Warren at Boston Garden Party. This show raised the bar to an impossible height for all future concerts. One of those rare moments in life where our language really can't represent our emotions. This I s the closest I can come to express my feelings ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
