I met Derek Trucks in Little Rock, AR at Sticky Fingers before his show in 2003. It was raining slightly and as we parked our car Derek passed by in the headlights so I shouted his name and he talked to us, in the rain! I asked if he would sign my guitar and he said sure. Opening my guitar case, I remembered I didn’t have a pen. He then invited me to knock on his tour bus after the show and would sign it then. He was unbelievable. Signed my guitar afterwards and was extremely gracious. A truly gifted musician and a nice guy. I 🎸🇺🇸

I've watched Derek progress since he was 11 or 12 years old. Even at that age he was so intuitive, and played with such feeling that it was obvious he had more than skill. It's a great treat to see and hear someone play with those qualities, while bringing out what's in their heart and head on the guitar. Derek Trucks is a legend.
