Soo sad that America is so divided that Fox News do not have comment avaliable on stories of John McCains passing... This is REALLY NOT a «Great America», it’s more filled with hatred and people beeing against each other, not standing together.. Scariy😳😱😱😖.
Rest in Peace John McCain 💞🌹💙💙, and thoughts & prayers for all of your family and friend ❣️🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️

John McCain has lived the life of a American hero, a true believer in freedom and democracy, a courageous fighter for justice and an honest voice from the republicans. John McCain has left behind a great legacy for many Americans to admire in many generations to come.

McCain was 1, 000 times the man Donny Dumpsterfire could have ever hoped to be.

Yesterday John McCain, an American patriot, after dedicating his life to carrying the flag for this country, posted that flag in the ground, sat leaning against it, and took his last rest.

John, I disliked a great deal of what you did, but you are a hero. Rest in eternal peace. - Marc Sarcutus

John McCain deserve our respects. If you didn't like his policies still gives this man some respect. John McCain put his life on line for others unlike"45'". R.I.P John McCain.

Agree or disagree with someone, we should not speak ill of one who has just passed, but don't create a legacy which did not exist. Humility my butt! Do not create things which were not there to begin with. He thought of himself first and the people got what he wasn't personally against. Yes, he must have been very humble when he saddled the people with Obama care with his deciding vote just because he wanted to stick it to the President. He actually thumbed his nose at the people who have been struggling under this horrific law. Those who suffer under his arrogance will pray for him and give him more grace and caring than he gave us.

This is amazing. Such a great environment to just reminisce about a great guy. Not necessarily eulogizing, not aggrandizing, just remembering a cool dude who made a personal impact on these people. I like this a lot

Rest in peace senator McCaine . A true patriot and a war hero. Many times you stood up and spoke when no-one else had the courage to do so. You rose when everyone else was sitting and spoke on the behalf of the oppressed.
who were thousands of miles away. I will always remember the brave senator when he stood up in the Senate and brought the Republicans to the signing of the resolution that started the bombing of faschist Serbia and its military genocidial machine. Thousands of innocent lives were saved by doing so .
Rest in peace and thank you for your service .

I wouldn’t rush to canonize McCain just yet. Yes, it’s fair to cleave to the old practice of not speaking ill of the dead. However, it’s not right to put McCain on a pedestal - as seems to be happening just now - simply because he was one of the few people with enough of a backbone to stand up to that buffoon, Trump. (It’s also hard not to think that dying men tend not to be afraid of criticizing enemies, or to have anything to lose.)

There was certainly plenty in McCain’s past to give him sharp criticism over, and even the Red Hat morons roaring “Trump 2020!” and the like over at toxic Fox News make a point when they call him a warmonger - McCain absolutely helped to ferment war and death overseas, and was absolutely a driving force in spreading misery and trauma to huge amounts of entirely innocent people and families in several theatres of war, where America’s typical geopolitical blundering for short-term, short-sighted gain has had largely disastrous results under All presidents and parties, stretching back many decades.

Behind his quiet Elder Statesman visage, McCain is absolutely guilty of some terrible things that more than earned sharp criticism from any observer, and any true analysis of his legacy, and life, Must include the bad along with the good. Otherwise you’re just creating a false portrait of the man - perpetuating fake news indeed. (Indeed, given his role in unleashing Sarah Palin, who seemed to be the trigger for the enthusiastic ignorance and intolerance that’s now currently consuming and dividing America, it’s hard not to wonder if his role in planting some of the toxic seeds now tearing America apart led to his final rebellion against what he, himself, helped to unleash, like a Dr Frankenstein leading the mob to fight The Monster.)

Sharp observations aside, of course there’s good about McCain too. Obviously, he was indeed a war hero, and showed a courage and determination to stick to his own core beliefs - something which seems increasingly rare these days, as Republican and Democrats alike seem terrified of alienating their true masters - their donors and lobbyists. McCain, however, seemed to stick to his own moral compass, and to do what he genuinely believed was right - someone who, to the end, supported his Party on the basis of what and how the Party should be helping the Country and all the American People, and not just feathering his own nest.

Such criticisms aside, McCain seemed to have an honest integrity, and a willingness to work for the country as he saw it, not just for his party, which saw him building cross-party support, respect and alliances. I suspect that if he’d lived longer, McCain would have had such personal integrity to take any such criticisms of him fairly on the chin, as well as one of the few politicians still attacking Trump’s relentless, dangerous stupidity and rash, reckless and feckless behaviour.

America’s body politic has suffered a loss with his passing, and no doubt the despicable Trump will capitalize on losing one of the few politicians with the will and gumption to take him on over his deplorable, dangerous behaviour. For that reason alone, the world is saddened to lose McCain, whose loss will be felt.

The fact that a black man was the President for 2 full terms, drove that "Republican" "base" crazy.

They've got someone working on a time machine right now.

Hopefully our Congress will take the lessons he left behind. If Congress could come together for the good of government, perhaps the people of this country could come together again as well.

Hallie Jackson gave a sanctimonious look to the camera instead of a smile when she was introduced. And her first sentence, as well as all of them, was about Trump. Thankfully, in the end she kinda rectified this.
